The baijiulato came back! For a fourth straight year, Ludvig Saaf of baijiu distributor Lu Spirits teamed with gelato chain StikkiNikki in Stockholm to create a special treat that blends gelato, baijiu and other tasty ingredients. And to top it all off, they served it in a bao, the steamed bread widely popular in China. Stikki Nikki had three baijiulatos on offer:
- Brown butter and orange with light aroma baijiu Beijing Red Star.
- Coconut with strong aroma baijiu Shui Jing Fang Scholar.
- Lychee and yuzu with strong aroma baijiu Luzhou Laojiao.
This year’s featured tasting was done at the Stikki Nikki shop in Old Town in Stockholm. And part of a vibrant World Baijiu Day program that included cocktails at bars in Stockholm and Gothenburg and a rollicking baijiu banquet. I’ll post more about those.
